In his pre-match press conference, Jeonbuk’s South Korean coach Choi Kang-Hee admired Omar Abdurrahman’s great skills and made clear that they had watched many videos for Al Ain FC and accumulated enough information to mitigate Omar’s threat.

“We know Omar will be a source of threat to us, but some of my men will restrict his movement,” he said.

He denied that his men were suffering from the phobia of losing the 2011 title to Qatar’s Al Sadd; “Things have changed a lot since then. I have infinite faith in my men, the training camp was perfect, so I expect a good result,” he commented.

He sounded confident because his Brazilian strike Leonardo, who scored twice against Al Ain in the first-leg, will play today; “Since Leonardo joined the club in 2012, he’s been performing superbly. I think I can rely on him today to score again,” he confirmed.

Kang-Hee, who had claimed the 2006 AFC title against the Syrian Al-Karamah, unveiled that he would follow a different strategy but without dramatically changing the lineup. “I expect today’s match will be as challenging as the previous one, but the fact that we have fully prepared to claim this year’s title is pretty much reassuring”, he added.

“I can honestly admit the first-leg was not easy for us. Our rivals scored the lead, but we managed to hold together and win. I do respect Al Ain but we will do whatever it takes to achieve victory today”, he concluded.
