Al Ain players were satisfied by the two goals in the net of Shabab Al Ahli Dubai while conceding one goal in matchweek 4 of the Arabian Gulf League held at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

Prior going to the first half break, the Boss was taking the lead by two clean goals held the signature of the Egyptian Hussein El Shahat “41” and Mohammed Abdul Rahman “45+7”. Meanwhile, Shabab Al Ahli Dubai scored their only one goal through Luvannor Henrique “66”.

By this 4th victory, Al Ain occupy the first league spot with 12 points, only goal-difference separating them from Sharjah. Meanwhile, Shabab Al Ahli sit ninth with three points.

The Boss squad showed their unblemished intent to win the match since early minutes of the first half by exerting high pressure on the opponent and launching attacks from the depth and flanks. It was until the 41th minute when they succeeded to take the lead by a stunning goal scored by the Egyptian Hussein El Shahat. It was Japan’s Shiotani who was able to send a flawless cross from the left flank to be met by El Shahat who sent a direct land screamer into the net of the goalkeeper who could not sent it off.

In added time of the first half, Hasan Ibrahim of Shabab Al Ahli Dubai was sent off with a red card in his pocket for misconduct. The referee awarded Al Ain a direct free kick executed by Brazil’s Caio Lucas but was not able to score.

At the minute “45+7”, Caio Lucas found Mohamed Abdulrahman near the edge of the box with an accurately crossed freekick. The UAE international’s cleverly volleyed shot crept past Nasser, making it 2-0 into halftime.

Luvannor Henrique pulled one back for Shabab Al Ahli, when his left footed curled freekick went past Al Ain goalkeeper Khalid Eissa, reducing the deficit in the 66th minute.

The last minutes of the match witnessed fervent attempts by both teams to score but in vain and the referee whistled to end the match while the board shows the result of 2-1 in favor of Al Ain.
