In a brief statement in the post-match press conference held following the end of the match between Al Ain and Shabab Al Ahli Dubai at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, the Croatian Head Coach of Al Ain, Zoran Mamic, was so upset by the Boss performance. He stated “I cannot remember when I was so angry of my team’s performance as today. We played well in the first half but in the second half we did not. Indeed, I prefer not to talk about this match specifically.”

Responding to the only question addressed to him on reasons behind such a performance in the second half, he said: “The first half ended by taking the lead by 2-0 with a red card granted to the guest team. In the second half, I do not know what the players were thinking about!!! I am really so disappointed of their performance. Players should not to talk or argue with the referee!! We have to show our great character as champs whether when we are wining or losing any match and no way to argue with the referee.”

He concluded: “Neither players nor anyone else is to be blamed for what we have seen tonight. It is my responsibility and I am held liable for all the players’ actions and performance on the pitch.”
