I’m proud and anxious because my team will play five matches in just 15 days

Al Ain Argentine coach, Hernan Crespo, emphasized that his team’s preparations during the long break went well, noting that his team’s current focus is on the first leg of the ADIB Cup semi-final against Ittihad Kalba, stating at the same time that:  “We seek to determine the extent of readiness of the international players who were completed with the arrival of South Korean Park Young-woo today to the UAE, and we are happy that the team includes distinguished “international players” of different national teams, and actually, we missed them a lot during the past period.”

“Naturally, Al Ain competes in all championships, three local ones and the Asian one, which certainly arouses our pride. The team has a great chances of winning all the titles, and in the home and away matches, the final result depends on both matches, so the team is required to focus and show their firm desire to win during the two matches and consider them as two halves.” he continued.

Commenting on a question regarding the pressurized schedule in February, he said: “Al Ain is the only team that will play five matches in just 15 days, in which they play in four different competitions, which is a matter of pride and concern at the same time, especially since the international players have now joined the team after a month and a half of the international break and official matches in addition to traveling to represent the UAE in the Asian Championship. I hope that the UAE Football Association and the Professional League will take the team’s status into consideration, particularly since it represents the UAE in the continental championship, which is more important after the team’s participations, especially since the UAE teams’ results in the Asian championship enhances the status and classification of the clubs and the league in general”.

He concluded his speech saying: “Currently, the most important point for us is a strong and honorable appearance, and we are confident in our capabilities to achieve the targets set by the club for everyone before the season, and to make the fans of this great entity happy.”
