The Croatian Head Coach of Al Ain, Zoran Mamic, expressed his deep pleasure with his team’s remarkable performance and deserved victory over Al Jazira. “Congratulations to all my team players for their stunning performance specially those who did not have the opportunity to play in the team’s past matches I am happy with the performance of all of them, specially Mohammed Khalfan, Falah Walid and Salem Abdullah,” he stated in the post-match press conference held by the end of the match.

Responding to a question on the secret behind Al Ain’s conservative style of play in the first half, he said: “Actually, both teams did not play well in the first half and that might be because the players do not know the style of playing of each other or the names included in the starting line-up. However, they did well in the second half and I am so proud of my team who confirmed their right to win the match.”

Commenting on a question on the young players’ chances to be part of his choices in all competitions, he stated: “Absolutely, my team did well tonight and all of them are required to redouble their efforts and show their sincere and strong desire to improve their skills, as well as to keep up their fighting spirit when they have the chance to be part of the team’s starting line-up. Al Ain is facing several challenges this season as they are contending several challengers in more than one competition at the same time and we are in deep need for each player’s efforts.”

“Mohannad El Enezi is doing well this season as a great defender. Tonight, he assisted in scoring the first goal and he is an experienced defender and has the required solutions. As I stated earlier, the Boss will be playing in several competitions this season and it is good for me as a head coach and the club as well to have a list of players enjoying Mohannad’s potentials,” Zoran commented on Mohannad’s remarkable performance.

On the pressures the team is experiencing this season and preparations for the FIFA Club World Cup, he said: “Certainly, dealing with pressures is part of the coach’s work. As for the FIFA Club Wold Cup, it will kick off after two months and a half. We must be reasonable in identifying our goals this season. We are looking forward to playing ideally and clinch the titles of the league and President’s Cup while improving the team’s performance and fight to win more trophies.”

He signed off: “Al Ain in the FIFA Club World Cup will not play against weak or small teams. Indeed, this international competition is an important event to UAE as an organizer and for the club at the level of competing other teams to win its title. I suffer no pressures at all for participating in this significant championship.”
