“It nice to finish the previous season winning two trophies. Indeed, the players enjoy what they are doing at present and also enjoyed the pre-season preparations. All went well and as planned. I am sure players are eagerly wish to start the season and they all ready for the first match,” Sergiy Rebrov stated in the pre-match media conference of matchweek 1 of ADNOC Pro League against Ajman Team.
The Winner of the Leader Award for the Best Coach added: “I mentioned to the players previously that I am very happy that the team won most of the PLC awards, and we deserve this compared to the effort we exerted last season.”
He pointed out: “But now we are in a different season and we have to turn that page. We have to take advantage of the experience we gained and should enjoy high levels of confidence and that we are starting from scratch. I emphasize here once again that we deserved all the trophies, medals and titles that we won last season, but now we start a different life and a different season. The head coach of the Boss squad stated that he mentioned to the players that the honor they got last season is the result of hard work and that if the enthusiasm they had last season drops, they will achieve nothing this season.
