On the occasion of winning the 13th Title of Arabian Gulf League 2018, Matar Obeid Al Dhahiri “Al Sahbani”, Manger of Al Ain First Football Team, extended his sincerest and heartfelt congratulations to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Chairman of Al Ain Club and Chairman of Al Ain Club Honorary Council and H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, as well as H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, Second Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and the Honorary Council.

He also availed this opportunity to congratulate all Members of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Club Football Company, Members of Honorary Council, Management of Al Ain Club, Management of the First Football Team, Technical staff, all Ainawi players and the Ainawi Nation for their firm and exemplary support of the team to achieve the Club’s first goals. He stressed: “We are about to have a clash confrontation in the semifinals of the President’s Cup when Al Ain meets Shabab Al Ahli Dubai FC scheduled to be held on Wednesday 25th April 2018. I do hope to see our fans in the stands behind the “Boss” as usual to share with them achieving the desired aspirations.”

“Indeed, no words of appreciation could ever be sufficient to thank the “Boss’” stars who vowed since the beginning of the season to snatch the Shield of AGL,” Al Sahbani said. He added: “They were up to it and fulfilled their word and proved themselves as genuine heroes. Despite the fact that Al Ain in the second spot behind Al Wasl in the beginning of the league, we had no doubt even for a moment that the “Boss” will clinch the title of AGL.” He went on to say: “I believe our match against Al Wasl in the second round paved the way to be at the top spot of the table and to concede it. We maintained the high spirits with the kickoff of the second round and the team’s performance was improving every other match. Noteworthy, the Head Coach relied heavily on certain lineup led to have a have stable level of performance. He absolutely was successful in rotating the players ideally to maintain strength and stability of his team’s performance in all matches.”

Al Sahbani underlined the vital role of the “Boss’” goalkeeper, Khalid Eisa, who presented himself as an astonishing star and greatly contributed to winning the title. “The back line was an impenetrable wall where all attacks diminish in front of them. Add to that, Ahmed Barman was at the top level of performance, Amer Abdul Rahman proved himself as an efficient player specially after his recovery form his lengthy injury. Al Sahbani hailed Omar Abdul Rahman “Amoory” as the inspiring captain of his teammates stressing that he plays the role of the coach in the pitch for the qualities of professional mentality, strong personality and absolute intelligence in handling all circumstances.

The Team Manager described that having the international striker Ahmed Khalil onboard as the most successful deals of Al Ain. He hailed the players’ qualities by saying: “Khalil exhibited a stunning performance and elite ethics.” He signed off by addressing appreciation words to the “Boss’” foreign players: “Not to forget the four foreigners Marcos Berg, Caio Lucas, Tsukasa Shiotani and Hussein El Shahat who contributed to the great achievement and showed remarkable harmony and understanding all of which reflected positively on the results of the team.”
