On the occasion of winning the 13th Title of Arabian Gulf League 2018, Issam Abdullah, Al Ain Administrative Manager, extended his sincerest and heartfelt congratulations to H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Chairman of Al Ain Club and Chairman of Al Ain Club Honorary Council and H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, as well as H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, Second Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and the Honorary Council. He stressed that “Stars of Al Ain deserves more than 10 Awards this season because the “Boss” is not like any other club in the full sense of the word. The team has embodied the concept of an integrated organization starting with the Club’s Management, technical staff, local and foreign players, fans and every member of this lofty sport entity.”

He also congratulated the Club’s Management, the technical and medical staff and players who confirmed their eligibility to crown their dedicated efforts by the end of the season with the first championship. He extended his heartful congratulations to the loyal Ainawi Nation for their role in supporting the team and contributing to attain such an achievement.

“There is no doubt that the players have the robust desire to go on with their sacrifices and giving to defend Al Ain’s logo because the season is not over yet and there are important challenges, including the semifinal clash confrontation against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai scheduled to be held next Wednesday as part of the President’s Cup,” added he.

He pointed out: “I believe the biggest challenge faced Al Ain this current season was injuries, especially the absence of team’s captain Omar Abdul Rahman for more than seven games. However, the team proved to be a strong competitor and achieved the required results. Indeed, the “Boss” was stable and invariable while all competitors were suffering from changes.” He also pointed out: “despite all the difficult circumstances that Al Ain experienced in the first round of the Arabian Gulf League, the “Boss” charisma was present fervently and the team remained a competitor holding the top spot of the table till the last match.”

Commenting on a question about when he felt that the “Boss” is the Champ of AGL, he said: “Actually, I got that feeling in four occasions. The first was when the team won Al Wahda in Al Nahyan Stadium in the first round; the second when we won Al Wasl in Za’beel Stadium and the third when we were beaten by Al Sharjah in the second round, and the fourth occasion when we overcome Al Wahda in the home match at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium. At that time specifically, I had no doubt that we have already put our hands on the shield.”
