Argentine’s Head Coach of Al Hilal, Ramon Diaz, described the match between Al Ain and Al Hilal as an entirely tense and strong match between two big teams and was highly-flavored in the presence of stunning fans. He assessed the two teams’ performance by saying: “In the first half, the visitors had the advantage but in the second half we regained the control and were the best.”

Commenting on a question on whether his team let their fans down in the inauguration of the team’s new stadium, he said: “In fact we did not show our best performance, but you have to understand that the team is experiencing hard times due to critical absences, besides the pressure of matches and their tight schedule. But by the end of the day, the team’s performance was satisfactory and happy by my players’ performance against a strong team.” He concluded: “Indeed, we have to prepare all the team’s players for the coming stage to achieve the desired goals.”

He confirmed: “We fiercely fought to win the three points of the match, but unfortunately it ended with a goalless draw and at least we earned one good point. What I am sure of is that we plan to increase our points out of the coming matches of ACL 2018.”

“The Head Coach of the team, Ramon Diaz, tasks players to carry out specific roles in the pitch. Unquestionably, we are meant to fulfill all his instructions flawlessly to achieve the positive result,” commenting on a question on whether he is still playing as a striker or things have changes since he joined the team. He added: “Personally, I carry out offensive roles from the depth and flanks, and most importantly as a player in Al Hilal’s squad I have to play in the manner that adds value to the whole team’s efforts and do my best in the pitch.”
