“We faced many challenges during this season and we were keen to do our best during the league and the cup,” Al Ain Team player, Jonatas de Santos, stated in the pre-match press conference of the first leg of semifinal match of ADIB Cup against Al Nasr held this evening.
He added: “But we were not lucky enough in making the best and largest grassroots in the UAE happy. Therefore, we are currently required to close the chapter and focus on our next match against Al Nasr Team.”
Jonatas pointed out that he believes that the opportunity is still there to end the season by snatching the title of ADIB Cup to please the fans, who, I believe, did not fail to support and encourage the team.
“We are always keen to redouble our efforts and work hard during the training sessions to turn the efforts during the matches into strong performance and satisfactory results,” he said.
He also stressed that the Boss squad is well aware that the season is currently about to finish and that requires greater focus to crown the team’s efforts with a winning championship.
