Al Ain manager Matar Obeid Al Daheri, “Al Sahbani” has said that five players of the football first team will leave today for Barcelona for medical examinations.
“In Barcelona, the readiness of the players, namely Khalid Issa, Ismail Ahmed, Omar Abdul Rahman, Amer Abdul Rahman and Ahmed Fahim, will be checked up,” Al Sahbani noted.
“They will leave the team camp today,” the manager of the Garden City club said, pointing out that each player will be tested separately.
On the condition of Khalid Issa and Ismail Ahmed, Al Sahbani said that the two players are continuing the required rehabilitation programs in the team camp.
He hoped that medical tests would affirm the readiness of the five players to take part in the upcoming game against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal in the first leg of the AFC Champions League quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, the official said that the team preparation in Austria is going according to the program set up by the team head coach Zoran Mamic.
Al Sahbani said that Mamic has recently adopted a varied training style that is totally different than the training programs we used to see in Al Ain in the last couple of months, stressing that the environments of the Austria’s camp is very positive and encouraging.
He hailed the players for their commitment and determination to get the desired gains out of the morning and night training sessions as well as recovery programs at the health club attached to the residence of the team.
“Yesterday, three players of Al Ain who were taking part in the National Olympic Team activities joined the camp,” Al Sahbani said.
The players, namely Mohammed Saeed Bu Senda, Saeed Jumaa and Ali Eid Ghumail, as well as Saeed Al Minhali directly engaged in their customized training programs under the team coaching staff.
Al Ain FC will play their first friendly game in the Austria’s camp against Al Ahli of Saudi on Wednesday 26th July.
