Al Ain has officially extended the contract of its youngster Yousef Ahmad Mousa for another year with the option to renew it for more years, keeping the 23-year-old striker at the Garden City club squad.
The renewal of the young upstart contract will add teeth to the squad of the Croatian Coach Zoran Mamic in the challenges of the “Boss” in the new season.
Mousa, who expressed happiness for renewing the contract, is expected to leave tomorrow’s morning to Austria to take part in the team’s overseas camp.
“In fact, the delay in renewing the contract was not because of studying the offers I have recently got as I had already taken my decision to stay a player of Al Ain,” Mousa said.
“Belonging to “The Boss” and wearing the kit of Al Ain is a dream for all players in the region and even the continent,” the player said, pointing out that he grew up in and loved the “Great Sports Entity”.
Commenting on the offers he got, Yousef Ahmad thanked the clubs that wanted to sign him, stressing that a number of factors led him to renew the contract, mainly his belonging to the club, the wish of his family, friends and teammates to stay in Al Ain and the coach’s desire to have the young player in the team.
The player hailed Al Ain Managing Director Hamad bin Nukhirat Al Ameri for supporting him since he was an emerging player in the club.
He also praised Board Members of Al Ain Company, mainly Mohamed Obaid “Hammad”, Matar El Sahbani and Issam Abdallah.
Mousa expressed his pleasure for winning the confidence of the Croatian coach, stressing that he will exert the utmost effort to honor such confidence and have the best performance in the upcoming season.
