Gabo: The Final Word Will be in Return Match

In the post-match press conference held following the end of the match, the Algeria’s ES Sétif and winner of the “Man of the Match” Award, Abdul Mo’men Gabo, expressed his appreciation for the great efforts of his teammates so that they could win the first leg match against Al Ain.

He explained that his team has not yet qualified. “Still we have the return match and I hope we will be able to win and achieve a positive result to qualify to the next stage of the championship,” said he.

Responding to a question on whether his team’s level of readiness gave them an advantage against Al Ain, he said: “I believe that ES Sétif was not in their best level of readiness to play against Al Ain. We had played a clash match against a strong team in CAF African Champions League, Morocco’s Difaâ Hassani d’el-Jadida, where we exerted lots of efforts during that match.” He concluded: “Al Ain is a big team and I do believe qualification to the next stage has not be settled yet as we still we have to play a return match and then we could identify the qualifying team.”
