Al Ain is Required to Turn the Wise Leadership Generous Care and Support into Tournaments and Achievements

Matar Obaid Al Dhaheri, Manager of Al Ain First Football Team, commended the efforts of the Boss players, stressing that they showed a remarkable commitment, seriousness and a sense of responsibility since the team kicked off their preseason away camp in preparation for the new season 2019/ 2020.

He stated that the preseason preparations consisted of three phases. The first phase commenced by holding a 10-training sessions home camp, which included also conducting the medical checkups for all the players. The second phase was held in Austria, and the last and final phase was held in Slovenia, which was concluded on 11th August 2019.

“All the performance indicators in preparation for the new season are positive, and training sessions went well as required and according to the programs prepared by the Croatian head coach Ivan Leko in coordination with the administrative staff. indeed, everyone felt well during the whole days of the away camp,” he stated.

Commenting on a question on the success rate of the camp based on his point of view, he said: “As I stated earlier that the assessment of the rate of camp success is associated with the results of the team in the new season and will continue to the last match of the league.”

While expressing his best wishes to the Boss squad to achieve the desired goals, Al Sahbani stated, “The Club’s leadership has furnished all the grounds to ensure the success of the team. The Club spared no efforts to enhance the team’s lines by quality players who will be able to achieve the desired aspirations and make the Ainawi Nation happy. This is why the squad is required to turn the generous care and support of the wise leadership of the Club into great results.”

In response to a question on challenges of broadcasting the team’s friendly matches, he explained: “I have highlighted the main goals that the head coach aims to achieve by playing the friendly matches. the head coach aims to arrive at the highest levels of readiness and fitness regardless of winning these matches or losing them to the home teams.”

“The head coach wants to reflect all the tactics and concepts he applies in training sessions on the friendly matches. This is why he also gives the opportunity for all the players participating in the camp and assess their performance. In each match, he has two different starting lineups, and in each meeting he held by the end of each match, he was so keen to express his satisfaction of the team’s performance and to highlight the valuable gains of the away camp,” the Team Manager stated.

He added: “The last game against the Hungarian team ‘ZTE’ was so tough. The Boss squad performed admirably, given that the players insisted on fasting the day of Arafa and playing in high temperatures. They had golden chances to score, but they were not lucky enough to take advantage of these great chances. Their overall performance was excellent in the game.”

Regarding the reason behind excluding the Algerian Abdel Rahman Meziane from the starting lineup of the last friendly match, he said: “Actually, the Croatian, Ivan Leko, is one of the quality coaches who are keen not to expose the players to any potential risks. Abdul Rahman Meziane had felt minor muscle pain before the game, so he decided to give him a break. Also, the same applied to Mohsen Abdullah, who also was given a break time for minor muscle pain. Both players are scheduled to join the team’s training sessions following arriving in the UAE.”

As for the team’s training program following the end of the away camp, Al Sahbani stated that the head coach decided to give all the players a two-day break. It is also agreed to resume the training sessions on 14th August at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium at Al Ain Club. The team is also scheduled to play a friendly match against one of the league clubs during 16-8 August 2019.”

Al Sahbani took the initiative to shed a spotlight on the new players joined the team during the away camp and were subject to the head coach tests and assessment. He stated: “The decision to join the three new players, Portuguese Nani and Khoi as well as the Serbian Andreja, will be in the hands of the head coach.”

He signed off by saying: “The head coach will submit his technical report to the Technical Committee to take the decision consistent with the requirements of the next stage and determine the names to be registered in the list of the team.”
