Zoran Mamic opened the pre-match press conference held following the end of the AGL’s matchweek 7 by congratulating his players for their great performance and their deserved victory over the home team and snatching the three points of the match. He explained: “In the first half, we did not exhibit our actual and genuine performance, while the opponent fulfilled their offensive and defensive tasks as required and tried to take advantage of the counter accounts.”

He added: “I stated in the post-match conference of Al Ain and Al Jazira match last week that I was not lucky with the substitutions I made as they were with no value, but tonight they were of great added value to the team and absolutely made the difference.”

Commenting on a question on the team’s unconvincing performance in the first half while not including the substitutes in the team’s starting IV: “The bench is an integral part of the team. In my point of view, Rayan and Barman deserve to be in the starting XI and as you know Rayan was injured and I am preparing him for the team’s coming challenges.”

“Amer and El Shahat are both might be one of the best players in the league, but in the previous round they did not meet the expectations and their performance was not satisfactory. However, tonight they both were able to make the difference particularly Amer Abdul Rahman who plays in the position of the playmaker,” Zoran said. He signed off by saying: “Since Amoory left the team, we are looking for the appropriate replacement to achieve the required balance, and so all players are required to redouble their efforts to compensate this gap in the pitch.”
