Back to Victories Track.. Al Ain Puts Off Ajman’s Volcano by Berg, Diaky and El Shahat Goals

Al Ain achieved an important victory against the home team, Ajman, by 3-0 in matchweek 7 of the Arabian Gulf League held at Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum Stadium.

The first half ended by goalless result. In the second half, Al Ain scored three goals by Marcus Berg “82”, Hussein El Shahat “86” and Ibrahim Diaky “90”.

By this result, Al Ain occupies again the 2nd spot with 16 points in their balance, while Ajman retreated to 11th spot with 7 points in their balance.

Al Ain revealed their preset intention since the kickoff whistle by exerting high pressure from depth and flanks. This pushed the home team to retreat and play with compact defensive style to mitigate the impact of the Boss attacks. At the 40th minute, Mohammed Khalfan led an attack against Ajman and sent a screamer form a distance and hit the post as the goalkeeper missed it. Following that attack the match referee whistled and sent the two teams to their first break while the two teams’ net clean.

In the second half, Al Ain went on their sustained their domination of the match particularly Zoran Mamic enhanced the Boss’ strike force by making double substitutions with Hussein El Shahat and Amer Abdul Rahman coming on to replace Ahmed Barman and Rayan Yaslam. At the 75th minute, he decided to give Ibrahim Diaky the green light to be ready and change the result as usual.

The Boss waited till the 82nd minute to take the lead when Marcus Berg took the advantage of the direct free kick following Ajman defenders committed a foul against Caio Lucas. The Sweden striker sent a smart and accurate shot into the high corner of Ajman’s net.

The Egypt’s El Shahat succeeded in enhancing the result by scoring the second goal and Diaky scored the third goal prior the match referee whistled announcing the end of the match while the board shows 3-0 in favor of Al Ain.
