H.E. Mohamed Obaid Hammad, Member of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club and Supervisor of the First and Reserve Teams, assured the media that El Shahat’s injury he suffered from by the last minutes of the match is not worrisome. He stated: “It was a bruise resulted from a direct friction with Ajman’s goalkeeper in the last minutes of the match.”

Al Ain’s Supervisor pointed out: “Ajman goalkeeper was so keen to go to the changing room to check on Hussein El Shahat and apologize for being the reason for such an intentional incident.” He added: “We hope that El Shahat’s injury will not require that much of medical treatment, especially we have a tight schedule this week and the time for recovery between Ajman’s match and the coming match against Emirates FC is so short. However, it is the Head Coach’s decision to involve him in the coming match or not and based on his level of fitness and the Head Coach’s plans.”

As for the other key players who did not show up in this match, he commented: “Bandar suffered from a bruise during the match that resulted in twisting his ankle and we wish him a speedy recovery. As for Amer Abdul Rahman, he is not fully fitted for this match. Meanwhile, Omar Abdul Rahman is fully ready and fit to be included in the Head Coach’s starting lineup in the coming match.”
