Khaled Issa: The “Boss” is Capable to Fight in All Competitions
Al Ain’s goalkeeper Khaled Issa confirmed that his team had already achieved an important thrilling win at the expense of an intractable team. He pointed out: “Ajman showed a great and high level of performance during the second round of the Arabian Gulf League and we thank Allah for the immense success we achieved and being able to snatch the three dear points.”
“At the start of the season, some have been saying that Al Ain has been achieving positive results without convincing levels of performance. However, I believe it is difficult for any team in the Arabian Gulf League to have the same level and achieve such results,” said he. He added: “In the world of football, result is more important than performance as the desired ambitions and goals would not be achieved by the end of the season by brilliant performance only. The crowned champ will be the team of positive and great results.”
“Our goal in the current season is clear-cut and thank Allah for having a full complete squad. Al Ain indeed played the first round of the league missing seven key players and we are waiting for Amoory to rejoin the team and then we could say we have at least two ready to go squads and I do confirm Al Ain’s capability to fight in all competitions,” said he.
Khaled expressed his ambitions to snatch titles by stating: “Since 2015 when Al Ain won the league title and up to this current year of 2018, we have been doing well in terms of performance in all local and continental competitions but without titles. Al Ain is a team of titles and currently we do not focus on performance as much as winning titles and championships.”
He stressed the fact that his team will be playing in the most important stage of the current season and pointed out: “Our team’s mission against the Emirates team will be quite more difficult than that the match we did ply against Ajman and then we will be ready for the AFC Champions League and I hope to show same level of performance and achieved great results and even better with Allah willing.”
