Valencia faces Partizan and Al Wydad challenges Atletico Bilbao in Qattara Stadium
It is the second day of the competition to win the title of the 9th edition of Hazza Bin Zayed “International” Junior Football Tournament. There will be two strong confrontations: the first match will have Valencia of Spain against Partizan of Serbia this Monday at 6 p.m. The second one will be Euro- Arab confrontation between Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco and Atletico Bilbao of Spain. Both matches will be held in Tahnoun Bin Mohammed in Qattara. The “International” Tournament kicked off on Sunday with two encounters: the first between Al Ain against Partizan and the second was between Zamalek of Egypt and Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco.
The qualifying meeting for this “International Tournament” was held in the meeting room in Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium. The meeting was chaired by Ali Khamis Al Junaibi, Head of the Technical Committee and attended by Ahmed Al Shamsi, Head of the Referees Committee in the presence of representatives of the competing teams for the title of the 9th edition of this tournament.
The meeting started with a welcome speech addressed by Ali Khamis and he conveyed the greetings of Sultan Rashid, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament, member of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Club Company, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Tournament. He wished all members of missions a joyful stay in the Emirates of goodness and charity.
Ali Khamis stressed the keenness of the Organizing Committee that all participating teams will get the desired advantages and the added value of their involvement in this “International Tournament”, as well as achieving the desired goals, both administratively and technically. He pointed out, “The success that has been linked to Hazza Bin Zayed U17 Football Tournament underlines our responsibility to adopt the best “international” practices and standards associated with the organization of the international championships.
during the meeting, participants approved the colors of t-shirts of the teams for all matches of the participating teams except the final match.
GHANIM SULTAN: WE ARE CONFIDENT OF THE SUCCESS OF THE TOURNAMENT
Ghanim Sultan, Head of the Football Sector at Zamalek of Egypt and Head of the mission, stated that they are happy to be in their second homeland in UAE and to represent the Arab Republic of Egypt in this tournament. He stressed that they have participated in the competitions organized by the clubs of Al Jazeera and Al Wahda where they won several titles and the last title was last year. He expressed his team wishes to present the highest level that tallies the for the status and level of the Egyptian football and that this tournament achieve the desired success. He pointed out that he is confident of the success of this event as long as the host and organizer is Al Ain Club, one of the biggest clubs on the Arab and continental levels.
Ghanim indicated that, “Zamalek Team includes 10 players from U17 team, along with 10 parleys of U16 team. We participate in this “International” Tournament with the aim to offer these young players the opportunity to benefit from such a chance and to acquire the experience required in the coming years to keep pace with development. Indeed, all of them are without any doubt are outstanding players.”
