Heading to Kuala Lumpur To Attend the AFC Champions League Draw.. Al Sahbani Praises the AFC and Confirms the Boss’ Keenness to Fulfill the Ambitions of the Club’s Continental Fans

The Al Ain Club delegation headed by Matar Obaid Al Dhahiri, Manager of Al Ain First Football Team, will be heading to Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday 20th November 2018 via Dubai International Airport to attend the AFC Champions League draw and take part in the workshop organized by the AFC.

As part of the visit program, the Al Ain delegation is scheduled to hold a number of meetings with the AFC officials where they will tackle a number of issues on the club’s participation in both the FIFA Club World Cup- UAE 2018 and the AFC Champions League 2019.

Al Sahbani expressed his deep appreciation to the AFC officials for their keenness to extend invitations to the Al Ain FC and Japan’s Kashima Antlers, representatives of Asia Continent at the FIFA Club World Cup- UAE 2019, to attend the special ceremony dedicated for the draw of the AFC Champions League 2019 and to participate in the workshop for the first time.

Al Sahbani stated: “The presence of the Boss in such events is not only for the sake of participation, but to present added value and exceptional initiatives that Al Ain Club has been used to presenting since their initial participation in this continental competition. As days go, Al Ain FC turned to have a special mark in this competition that matches the name and reputation of this lofty sports club that always hailed by the AFC.”

“We are so ambitious to regain the continental title to our beloved homeland,” he said. He added: “We do understand that this requires great work through the collaborative efforts of the management, caching team, players, fans and all of Al Ain Club members. With the beginning of 2019, we will be facing a new challenge and hope that we will succeed to achieve the aspirations of the Al Ain Club and its loyal Ainawi Nation.”

Responding to a question on his expectations of the draw results, he said: “Expectations are not always right, but the only fact I know is that Al Ain is a big team and playing in whatever group means the team will be the leading team and qualify to advanced stages of the competition with all due respect for all our competitors. Al Sahbani stressed that this not narcissism, but a reality proved by figures. “Football always rewards the best team on the pitch and Al Ain FC has quality and skillful players who enjoy the mentality of professionalism, the great potentials and expertise in such a big continental competition.”
