We Need to Refresh our Strength, Restore our Spirit, and Work with The Mentality of Triumph to Claim the Three Points

Hernán Crespo, the Argentine manager of Al-Ain, said that his team needs to refresh their strength, explaining:“I don’t wish to say that we are undergoing a difficult period of time, but we are disappointed after being knocked out of the competition race to claim the most precious of all tournaments, as I have already mentioned to you. We will work to restore the spirit of triumph and work with the mentality of triumph to be able to reach our goal, and we are well aware that our quest vs Al-Nasr will not be easy.”

Replying on a question whether he agrees with that changing the style of play was the reason behind the defeat vs Ittihad Kalba, he said: “We have to live the current period of time with real time mentality, then we have to remember that the team’s forward player was exhausted for he has just returned from his injury. Sometimes you outline your concept for playing vs the competing team but you find yourself surprised with some bad news regarding the readiness state of some team members, exactly like what happened in our match vs Ittihad Kalba. Now we have to restore the spirit of triumph in our match vs Al-Nasr, and, as I have already mentioned to you, it will not be an easy match to play.”

He went on: “I think that we were not so lucky and we have committed some individual mistakes, for which we paid the price; but, we have created several chances that we were unable to transform them in the most appropriate way. But this situation happens in football world and last Wednesday’s match is now something from the past, for we live the present moment and it is required from us to concentrate on our next match.”

Commenting on a question on why Hernán Crespo bets on Al-Nasr match, he said: “I always bet on my team and the great challenge for me is to keep the team’s spirit high and teammates’ trust in their ability to return to the right path of victories, and the current period of time is for work not to have regrets for what happened in the past.”
