HUSSEIN EL SHAHAT: WE ADOPTED THE PRINCIPLE OF ONE ONLY CHANCE TO QUALIFY AT THE EXPENSE OF OUR OPPONENT
Al Ain’s Egyptian international player, Hussein El Shahat, achieved the most important victory in the final round of the groups stage by snatching the qualifying card for the quarterfinal round of the AFC champions League and the good thing was winning the opponent on their own turf and among their fans.
He added: “Although the team played the match with the opportunity to win or draw, but we agreed to deal with the game based on the principle that we have only one chance. We played the match with high concentration from kickoff whistle until the last minute.” He stressed: “Our goal is to win the match and we were able to score in the right time and that made our mission easier.”
On the match against Al Nasr, he said: “I think it is the most important confrontation for us now as we have already closed the chapter of the Asian championship temporarily and we look forward to put our hands on the title one round ahead prior the end of the competition. By this we will have time to focus on the President’s Cup and then the AFC Champions League. We all hope to win the title on 21st of this month.”
