Al Ain head coach stressed that his team deservedly and honorably qualified to ADIB Cup semifinal match being held to draw 1-1 against Al Wahda.
“We played against a strong team despite the 1-1 draw and deserved to qualify to semifinal,” Sergiy Rebrov stated in the post-match press conference.
He assessed his team’s performance by saying: “We played two different halves. The first half was normal and conceded a goal. The second half, we showed that we were better, dominated the match, scored and qualified.”
Commenting on the tight schedule of matches, he said: “It is not easy to play 3 matches within 12 days. This is why I gave Bandar and Laba a break for they felt exhausted.”
