We Will Assess the Status of Bandar and Tin Within the Coming 48hrs

“We have a critical challenge against Al Wasl Team, and we must enjoy a high level of concentration,” Sergiy Rebrov stated in the pre-match press conference of the semifinal match of the President’s Cup scheduled to be held on Friday, 14th April 2023.

He added: “In the first leg match, both teams did not create many chances, and everyone knows well the significance of the first leg match with a clean sheet. I am sure the second leg match will differ as we play at home and among our fans.”

Rebrov insisted that his team must show their fighting spirit and ensure dominating the match, in addition, to sparing no effort to make the Ainawi fans happy.

Commenting on Al Wasl’s heavy loss in their recent match in the ADNOC Pro League, he said: “We do not pay attention to Al Wasl’s results as they should pay attention to their results. Everyone understands the importance of this coming match, and I am sure it will be different. This is why we should play with high focus.”

Rebrov stated that his team did not play the first half of the match against Khorfakkan well, but at least they maintained a clean sheet compared to Al Wasl, who conceded three goals in the first half.

“However, I do not believe that the result of their recent match means anything. We should enjoy the appropriate concentration level, show respect to the opponent, and take care of our affairs,” Rebrov stated.

As for Bandar Al Ahbabi and Tin Jedvaj, he said: “Both players rejoined the team’s training sessions, and we are currently evaluating their medical status. I am sure they have the desire to play the next match. However, we still have 48hrs and will see who is in form and ready to fight for the Boss badge by 100%.”

Rebrov addressed a message to the fans: “I always feel happy to see the Ainawi fans everywhere, given that they move behind the team regardless of the field of play. Their presence boosts the players’ self-confidence, especially we are playing at home. I am sure stands will be full, boosting the players’ morale who play for them.”

“I am sure that once the players see the fans in the stadium stands, their motive to play genuinely will be much higher,” Rebrov concluded.
