In Exceptional Ceremonial Climate in “Emirates Palace” Al Ain Dominate PLC Awards as the Boss Collect Top Accolades

Al Ain predictably swept the boards at the Pro League Committee Awards 2021-2022 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday night. In the ceremony held in the “Emirates Palace Hotel” in exceptional climate where all seekers of superiority and excellence in giving and have determination to excel in professional competitions.

The ceremony of the Pro League Committee, the ADNOC Pro League governing body, was attended by H.E. Abdullah Naser Al Junaibi, Chairman of PLC, members of the PLC executive office, as well as UAE representatives of sponsors and clubs and elite sports stars and media agencies.

The ADNOC Pro League and PLC Pro Cup champions dominated proceedings, with Bandar Al Ahbabi winning the Best Emirati Player award, Togo’s Laba Kodjo named the best foreign player and won the award of the goal of the year for the goal scored against Al Wahda in the second leg match. He was also awarded the won the Golden Shoe being the top scorer of the league.

Moreover, Sergiy Rebrov won the Leader Award for the Best Coach. Meanwhile, Erik Jorgensen awarded the Golden Boy award for the best resident young player or born in UAE and Khalid Eisa winning the Golden Glove for best goalkeeper and Morocco’s Soufiane Rahimi winning the fans’ player of the year.

Al Ain Club named the winner of the Highest Overall Fan Attendance Award in the last season as part of the “Fans League” initiative launched by PLC and witnessed a significant interaction by the supporters of UAE football game.

Al Ain’s players also littered the Dream Team of the Season 2021-2022, with Eisa, Erik Jorgensen, Danillo Arboleda, Bandar Al Ahbabi, Mohammed Abbas, Soufiane Rahimi, and Laba Kodjo. The list of names also included Walid Abbas and Hareb Suhail (Shabab Al Ahli), Caio Lucas (Sharjah) and Ali Saleh (Al Wasl).
