‘We have great confidence in ourselves and the loyal club fans to consolidate the role integration concept, whether in pitch or in the stadium stands. Our motivations will be strong when playing against Al Hilal at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium as part of AFC Champions League quarter-final first leg matches. We are well aware that our mission will not be easy, but all the elements of excellence are available for us to reach the next stage of this continental championship,’ said the (international) defender of Al Ain and our UAE Football Team, Ismail Ahmed.

In response to a question on the comparison between the preparation stages of both teams and the competition, especially that Al Hilal has already started and it has played two matches in the Saudi League, he said: ‘Actually, official matches differ from friendly ones. Al Ain would, however, be fully ready to face Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, especially that the Head Coach Zoran is keen to adopt the best methods to technically, physically and psychologically prepare the team’.

He added that each player with Al Ain logo is trustworthy and accountable. We are keen to deliver outstanding performance in the name of UAE at the Asian Championship with respect to the ambitions of the opposing team that includes highly experienced players, such as Yasser Al Qahtani and Mohammad Al Shalhoub. This requires us to be fully prepared from kickoff to the end of game whistle.
