Issam Abdullah, Al Ain Administrative Manager, congratulated the Club’s leadership, team players and fans on the occasion of qualifying to 16th round of the AFC Championship League, stressing that “Al Ain’s ambition is always greater than being at a certain stage in any competition. We are accustomed to seeing Al Ain showing their strong personality and their authentic image while facing great challenges and difficult circumstances and times of adversity, especially when it comes to the represent UAE in the Asian Championship.”
He pointed out that “By defeating Zob Ahan, the team went over a difficult stage. There are a number of players who have turned a blind eye to the conditions of their injury and insisted on participating in the match, in particular Ismail Ahmed. I salute all of them for the sacrifices they made and due thanks the technical and administrative staff, the medical team, the media team and all the delegation members for fulfilling their duties towards the team as required.”
He stated, “It is important for us to win our next games and we do not care who is the team we are going to face in the 16th Round as Al Ain does not fear any team. Indeed, the opponent is well aware of the Al Ain team’s potentials and the significant players this team has. I wish Al Ain team all the success in the championship that we like most, i.e. the AFC Champions League.”
He added, “I think that the absence of large numbers of players in the team, in particular the absence of five “international” players in the back line will have an impact over any team. Yet, the name and potentials of Al Ain double the responsibility of everyone wearing this logo. Those who are close to the team now almost feel that there are players who ignore their injuries for the interest of the team, such as  Ismail, jab and Khalid Abdul Rahman. The spirit of the team features all the players deserves to be highly commended and appreciated.
