Spain’s Juan Carlos Garrido, head coach of Al Ain, put an accent on the importance of Tuesday’s match against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal in the biggest championship in Asia. “The coming match against Al Hilal is our last chance to stay in the competition and be able to clinch one of the two qualifying cards to the next stage of the ACL 2019. Indeed, we do not have any other choice except to win the home team with all due respect to their aspirations.”

Garrido stated that during the first leg match his team missed important and key players and that he considers himself lucky enough to regain their efforts prior the second leg match.

Commenting on a question on how he is planning to deal with the coming match given that his team’s chances to qualify is limited and that Al Hilal won the first leg match, he said: “Both teams are currently suffering form hard times despite the fact that Al Hilal tops the standing table of Group D and they are so close to qualify. This means that we must exhibit the team’s genuine fighting spirit and do our best to snatch the three points. I do hope that we will be lucky enough and win the coming match contrary to our past match where we missed several critical chances to hit their net.”
