Khalid Abdul Rahman: We Will Show Our Genuine Fighting Spirit and Achieve the Best Results to Make the Fans Happy
In the pre-match press conference of Al Ain against Al Wasl, Al Ain “international” defender Khalid Abdul Rahman, said: “I do not prefer to talk about the past. Yes, we lost a football match but we still have not lost our big challenges in the new football season. Our start match will be against Al Wasl and we have to show our fighting spirit and the strong desire to achieve the best results in all our coming matches.”
“All the team players and the technical and administrative staff promised to improve the team’s performance and show an honoring level of performance which is consistent with the name and position of Al Ain to make all the fans happy,” said he. He went on to say, “We have strong confrontations in the Arabian Gulf League, the President’s Cup and the Arabian Gulf Cup. I assure everybody that we will do our best and be highly focused to achieve our goals this season. I do wish the team all the best.”
Replying to a question on the lack of discipline in the team’s back line which was remarkable recently, he said: “I believe mistakes could always happen in the world of football and big clubs are always required to restore their balance and sort out their issues as required,” he said. He added, “Real Madrid lost by five goals few years ago at the hands of Barcelona. Then, they were able to win the Champions League three times.”
He concluded, “Football is a collective game based on the concept of integration of roles in all lines. I believe that the small tiny details were crucial in our previous match. We are certainly required to work hard to restore our strength promptly.”
