Croatia’s Zoran Mamic, Head Coach of Al Ain FC, stated that his team’s new striker is born ready to play all the team’s challenges and defend the logo of the teams’ he plays for. He pointed out: “He will be one of my options to play against Al Dhafra in round 16th of the President’s Cup.

In the pre-match press conference dedicated for the coming match between Al Ain and Al Dhafra, Zoran said: “My team’s goal in this most important championship this season which will commence by meeting Al Dhafra on Wednesday, is to achieve the required success.” He also stressed: “This necessitates that we have to play with high concentration, especially as the time zone of recovery following the players’ great efforts during the past match against Al Wasl was not sufficient.”

He added: “We are required to start the coming confrontation with sound performance and we are doing our best to keep up the strong results and do our best exactly as we did last match against Al Was at Za’beel   Stadium.”

“I think any coach in the world of football would like to have plenty of players, and now my team is fully ready for next challenges following having all injured players onboard,” said he in response to a question whether having plenty of players will create problems for him compared to the past period when he suffered a lot because of absences.  He went on to say: “Personally, I assess the performance and readiness of my players during training sessions and in official matches and I always seek to select the best players as I am the only one held accountable for this. I know I make all players in the squad happy as I am allowed to pick 11 players. This means that all of the squad members have to show their fighting spirit explicitly and be highly focused. We do not have to forget that we are playing in several competitions this year and definitely a number of them will have the chance to play in the Arabian Gulf Cup.”

Commenting on a question with regard to his assessment of Al Dhafra FC, he said: “We will do our utmost to win the opponent team and qualify with all due respect for their ambitions.” He added: “I believe that Al Dhafra plays good football regardless of his position on the league standing table. Indeed, all teams are keen to show their best in front of the “Boss”. He concluded the conference by saying: “I believe that we are now much better off than in the first half of the season. If players do not meet the required level, they will be replaced and will not find the opportunity to participate in the upcoming matches.”
