Leko Put to the Test 23 Players.. The Boss Overpower Slavonia’s Celje 3-0
Al Ain First Football Team kicked off the friendly matches program of the team’s Austria summer pre-season camp by winning their counterparts Slovenia’s Celje by clean three goals in the match held on Wednesday 24th July 2019 at Bad Tatzmannsdorf Stadium.
Al Ain stars ended the first half taking the lead by 1-0 scored by Khaled Al Bloushi after 3 minutes of the kickoff whistle. In the second half, Ali Eid boosts the result by scoring the second goal at “52”. It took Abdullah Sameer only three minutes to add the team’s third goal.
Ivan Leko, the head coach of the team, took the opportunity to involve 23 players in this first friendly match. His starting lineup in the first half included: Mohammed Bu Senda, Tsukasa Shiotani, Saeed Jumaa, Mohannad Salem Al Enezi, Salem Abdullah, Yahiya Nader, Mohammed Hilal, Mohammed Khalfan, Khalid Al Bloushi, Jamal Marouf and Caio Canedo. In the second half, he replaced the starting IX by: Mohamed Fayez, Ismail Ahmed, Mohamed Ali Shaker, Saud Al Abri, Ahmed Barman, Falah Walid, Hamad Al Hassani, Khaled Khalfan, Abdullah Samir and Ali Eid. He then replaced Hamad Al Hassani by Hazem Fayez.
