Issam Abdullah, Al Ain Team Administrative Officer, commended the performance of the Boss stars in their first friendly match against the Slovenian football team, Celje, though certain players still are not done with their rehabilitation programs.

“The head coach added six players from the reserved team to the team’s lineup to assess their level of performance. I believe it was a successful experience, and it is important to have into account that the level of matches should go up gradually. I can assure that the team’s attained the desired goals out of the first friendly match,” Issam Abdullah said.

In response to a question on the atmosphere dominating the preseason training camp in Austria, he commented: “All on the right track and as per the pre-set program. All of us are highly committed and have a great desire to achieve anticipated great gains. We can feel it when we observe the players in their morning and evening training sessions.”

He added: “Since the establishment of the club and the ambitions never soar below the skies and always sights are set to be at the first spot and win titles. Indeed, in the past season, we were not lucky enough in achieving the desired goals locally and continently, but we were able to achieve a record achievement by ending as the runners-up of the champs of the FIFA Club World Cup- UAE 2018. I believe this season we have a crystal-clear goal considering the new stars we have onboard. We all vowed to play an exceptional season in all competitions.”

He concluded his statement by addressing a message to the Ainawi Nation. “Al Ain loyal fans are the backbone of the team and its first defense line, whether they are in the standings, watching the team on TV screens, or supporting the team in the various social media platforms. We have full confidence that they will play a key role in boosting up the Boss aspirations.”
