Al Ain FC Coach Zoran Mamic has bemoaned the loss against Al Jazeera 2-0 in the round 21 of the Arabian Gulf League at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium on Wednesday night.
It’s hard to talk about the game, Al Ain players had a great performance and controlled the match throughout the 90 minutes,  however, it is football “has happy times and also hard times”,  Mamic who replaced Zlatko Dalic more than a month ago stated that during the post-match conference.
The Croatian Coach criticized the game refereeing, pointing out that five members of Al Jazeera’s Coaching staff kept objecting to the referee’s decisions throughout the 90 minutes.
It’s very difficult to face nine referees in the game, Mamic said, stressing that such would lead to “no real football”.
He wondered why the referee gave yellow cards to Al Ain players and declined from giving cards to the opponents. He also wondered why the referee did not award a foul to Al Ain, leaving the opponents to score.
Although the Coach of Al Ain has criticized cancelling the goal of Ismail Ahmed, he congratulated Al Jazeera for winning the game.
Commenting on the performance Rashed Muhayer who substituted a main player of the national team, Mamic said “it was my decision and I think that the player performance was good”.
Muhayer has mistaken only one time throughout the game and I am very satisfied with his performance, he said.
On the missed chances, the Coach admitted the problem and said that the team had hordes of shots but no goals were seen.
Concluding his statements, Mamic asserted that more efforts are needed in the coming period in order to translate all chances into goals.
