Al Ain Coach Zoran Mamic has stressed the importance of winning the game against Al Dhafra in the Arabian Gulf League.

We are getting ready for a very important challenge in the last round of the first half of the league, Mamic said.

He called on the team to focus and show the best in the game to clinch the three points, expressed respect for the rivals who “achieved a positive result” in their last game against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai club.

Answering a question about the importance of Al Wasl game against Shabab Al Ahli, the Croatian coach said “we don’t pay attention to the results of others; my only target is to prepare my team to achieve the best results and focus on our games.”

Asked whether the distinguished victory over Al Dhafra in the cup would help the team in the league game, the coach said that the cup game is a past event, pointing out that the Garden City Club is now focusing on the league game and required to show strong performance on Friday.

On the injured and absent players, Mamic said that Amer Abdulrahman, Tsukasa Shiotani and Caio Lucas will have no chance to join the line-up in the Friday game. The decision over participation of Khalid Abdulrahman and Bandar Al Ahbabi has not yet been taken.
