My humble family comprises me, my wife Josephine and three children: my youngest daughter Julie “6 years old”, my son Lionel “4 years old” and little Mathew who has celebrated his first year birthday recently.

A Dream you wish to achieve with Al Ain Team?
My main goal is to win the league title with Al Ain and be able to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup UAE- Abu Dhabi 2018.
A Dream you wish to achieve with Sweden National Team?
Definitely, my biggest ambition is to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, when we play against Italy in the final play-off round in upcoming November.
What are the main challenges you have faced since you joined Al Ain Team other than weather factor?
Actually, Al Ain is a wonderful, quiet and beautiful city, and so I did not face major challenges while practicing my usual normal life. Everything is available and I believe that my family and I have adapted to the way of living here smoothly and swiftly.
A Memorable Goal!!
My first international goal I scored playing to Sweden National Team against Malta.
A Memorable Match!!
The match when my former team Panathinaikos crowned as the champion of the Greek Cup after defeating PAOK Salonica 4-1 and I scored a Hat-Trick.
Favorite place in UAE!!
I loved Al Ain a lot and I feel very relieved here. It is not a secret anyway if I told you that I have not visited all the places so far.

Berg’s Wife
Berg’s wife, Josephine, in her turn described her husband, the Sweden international player and Al Ain’s striker, as a compassionate and ideal father. She emphasized: “Berg is very humble and so compassionate and always tries to surround his entire family with remarkable interest and warm feelings.” She added: “He is fond of football and so committed, besides he always seeks to develop his skills and maintain his physical fitness up to the highest levels. Indeed, he is so successful in creating the balance between his career as a professional striker and an affectionate father and a great family man.”
Life Order and Food
“I always help my husband in all the matters that enable him to reach the best standards of preparation physically and mentally, especially with regard to diet, break time and recreation, as well as help him focus on the next match as much as I can,” said she.
Josephine added: “I’m so keen to attend my husband’s matches from the stands of the stadium so I can be close and enthusiastically cheer on him. If I cannot attend the match, I watch the match on television. However, I would much prefer to watch his matches from the stands to encourage him.”
