Marcus Berg: We are Hungry to Show Our Quality Skills Under the Command of the New Head Coach
“We do understand that our mission against Al Nasr will not be easy, but we are fully ready to play the coming match, considering that we lost our last match to Al Dhafra,” Al Ain international striker Markus Berg stated in the pre-match press conference dedicated for matchweek 16 of the Arabian Gulf League.
He added: “With all due respect to our opponent’s aspirations, we are determined to win the guests, given that we have all the elements of excellence, i.e. playing at home and among our grassroots and above all the squad has players who enjoy high-caliber skills under the command of a reputable and competent head coach. Each player is highly- motivated to do their best on the pitch and wish my team all the best in the coming match.”
“I work with my teammates to achieve the Club’s goals and not looking for individual or personal titles,” he said in response to a question on whether he is still competing to win the top-scorer title this season. He signed off: “I always strive to show my best on the pitch, but sometimes I am lucky enough to play well and sometimes I experience bad times. However, what I am sure of that we all play to realize the team’s aspirations in all competitions.”
