Hamad Nakhirat Al Ameri, Managing Director of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club and its subsidiaries, said that all members of Al Ain Club are fortunate with the high patronage and unlimited attention being paid by His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin ZayedAl Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, First Vice President of Al Ain Club, First Vice Chairman of Al Ain Honorary Council, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club for the club and its subsidiaries, which help to ensure that all members of Al Ain work in accordance with a clear vision and solid strategic plans established by His Highness.

The Managing Director emphasized that His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, Chairman of the Executive Committee, and Chairman of the Steering Committee for Al Ain Football Club Company Affairs, directed the adoption of best practices in the mechanism of distributing tickets for the AFC Champions League match to ensure balanced quotas of fans of Al Ain and Al Nassr.

He also expressed his high appreciation for Al Nassr Club Board of Directors, headed by Musalli Al-Muammar, for their communication, elegant presence, sophisticated dealing, and courtesy, which is a typical attribute to our brothers in Al NassrClub, particularly since the relationship between the two major clubs is considered well-established and historical.

He pointed out that all team members’ sense of responsibilitytowards the organizational efforts made by the club and the fans’ strong support at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, was reflectedpractically on the field into an enjoyable performance and a positive result.

The Managing Director of Al Ain Club and its subsidiariesindicated that for the video footage recently published by some accounts on social media, which included negative scenes of one of the fans quarreling with others after the end of the match, we confirm that the security authorities dealt with the offender properly and legal measures were taken against him and he was held accountable because he represents just himself through these individual actions, which do not represent the of Al Ain and Emirati football fans. At Al Ain Club, we have continuously emphasized our firm rejection of all forms of deviations and offenses and demonstrated our absolute cooperation with the police and the Public Prosecution to confront unacceptable actions and negative phenomena.

He also praised the strategy adopted by Al Ain Club Investment Company in dealing with the issue of distributing the tickets for the AFC Champions League match between Al Ain and its brother Al Nassr, through direct communication with more than 15,000 Ainawi fans, out of our keenness to deliver tickets to Ainawi fans, based on the match attendance database in addition to receiving our brothers from Al Nassr fans in the standsallocated for them extremely well, which reflects ourappreciation for our brothers and the deep relationship that bindsthe two clubs continuously. Moreover, I should praise the fans of Al-Alami (The Global One), who reflected the sophisticated, civilized, and exemplary crowd cheering from the stands in all the stadiums, especially Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

The Managing Director emphasized that neither Al Ain nor its and its subsidiaries has sent any free tickets or sell tickets to anyone other than Al Ain fans and Emirati football fans in the places allocated for the Boss “Al Zaeem” fans, stating at the same time that: “The reason behind not distributing the tickets for the AFC match on the night of Hatta match lies in the large crowds that were present hours before the match and during the game around the stadium to purchase tickets. The reality confirms that the numbers outside the stadium exceeded the numbers of those who came to support the team in the ADNOC Pro League. That, in turn, confirmed to us the fact that most of those present outside the stadium were not Al Ain fans. So it was decided to cancel the distribution of tickets because we aimed to reach Al Ain fans and UAE football fans who demonstrated a wonderful cohesion embodying the noblestmeanings of patriotism by supporting the Boss “Al Zaeem” in the AFC Champions League.”

He added that offering tickets for sale via the link without any control would have enabled black market merchants to take overthe tickets. Therefore, the management decided to distribute the quota allocated for Al Ain fans according to the match attendance database mechanism and Ainawi Card members, after we communicated with our brothers in Al Nassrmanagement and provided them with the sale link allocated for the visiting club’s fans at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium according to the regulations. Coordination was made through Al Ain Club Fan Affairs Office and the Leader of Al Nassr Club Fans Association, Wael Al Zahrani. Warnings were issued to the fans against dealing with black market merchants, especially since some tickets which were sold through illegal channels are vulnerable to fraud.

“We realize that there are some fans whose information were not received by the Investment Company in the database for various reasons, including their purchasing tickets through friends or domestic workers. Therefore, communication channels have been allocated for these cases through the Fan Affairs Office, and we should praise the efforts of all Al Ain employees and its subsidiaries for their constant presence and significant efforts by working for more than 15 continuous hours a day after Hattamatch, in order to ensure communication with the fans and sendlinks for selling tickets and preparing for the match to receive fans from inside and outside the UAE,” he continued.

At conclusion, the Managing Director praised the remarkable cooperation from all fans who contributed to facilitating the organizers’ task based on their keenness to support the team and their ideal cheering to raise the players’ morale before and during the match, which had a positive impact on showing the event in its best image. At Al Ain Club, we always investigate negative remarks to benefit in opportunities for improvement. All our thanks and appreciation to Al Ain Police and Municipality for their constant support and effective contribution to the success of all events in Al Ain.
