Stresses the “Boss” Strong Desire to Win Shabab Al Ahli Dubai

In the pre-match press conference dedicated for the match against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, Mohammed Ahmed, Al Ain’s “international” player, emphasized that Al Ain’s team is fully ready for this coming top-level confrontation, particularly it combines two big teams. He said” “Our goal is to achieve the best result at the expense of our opponent with all due respect for their ambitions. We will play this match with high concentration and a strong desire to earn the three points.”

In response to a question on the secret behind his brilliance in all matches he played recently following recovery from his injury, he said: “First of all I thank God for helping me to rejoin Al Ain’s squad starting lineup after the difficult circumstances I faced as any other player during the injury period. Personally, I am pushing myself to the limit to show my best in each match. Also, the field tasks I am required to carry out as per the Coach’s instructions in addition to playing in the center-back position boosted my performance.” He went on to say, “For me I prefer to play simple and easy football and I do work hard to fulfill my defensive obligations, unlike my previous position as right winger where I am tasked to carry out certain offensive duties. In this season, I am so eager to do my best along with my teammates whom I do wish the best and be able to achieve all our personal ambitions and make the team’s passionate and loyal fans happy.”

“We do not think about the strength of the opponent after the merger as much as we focus on winning the match, especially as the team who is looking to win any football match is essentially required to show their real fighting spirit, play with full concentration and enjoy the strong desire to achieve the best result; football only rewards the best team,” he commented on a question regarding the strength of the opponent team specially after the merger. He further explained, “By the end of the day, we have 11 players playing against another 11 players. Add to that, both teams’ squads have nearly eight “international” players playing to UAE national team.”

On facing Cosmin, who was the decision maker to bring him into Al Ain team in the past, he commented: “When we play any match, we do not think about confronting certain names as much as we are focusing on showing the team’s fighting spirit in defending Al Ain’s logo.” He concluded: “Our target as a team is to do our best and be able to achieve the desired strong results.”
