Mohannad Salem Al Enezi, the ‘international’ defender of Al Ain and the UAE National team, stressed that they must not rely on their first-leg win; “We have to play a new game tonight, score and keep a clean sheet,” he said.
He pointed out that they are intent to win today’s game and qualify for the AFC final; “We know it won’t be easy, but we’re well-prepared to take the challenge and achieve our ends,” he added.
He confirmed that Al Ain will play tonight free from any pressures given the players’ high capabilities, determination and most importantly their high spirits which were boosted by the words of His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi Emirate, First Deputy President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Deputy President of the Honorary Board of the Club and Chairman of Al Ain Sports Club.
“The most significant motive for the players is their sense of responsibility; they’re aware that they have to be praiseworthy representatives of our cherished country and to secure an outcome that brings us closer to the title and brings joy to all UAE nationals and expats,” he continued.
He added that the players are keen to return the auspicious patronage provided by the UAE insightful leadership to all government entities and sports in particular to accomplish the aspirations of everyone in UAE.
He assured that there is nothing to worry about the team as all the players are one in heart and mind. “We don’t see reaching the final an achievement in itself; we’ve already qualified for the final two times; to us, the runner-up is exactly like the lowest rank. Our ultimate goal is to win the title that pleases everyone.” He concluded.
