Not Worried About the Boss’ Goal.. Sergiy Rebrov: All Set for the Dearest Cup Final Match
Mistakes Against Sharjah Is Prohibited
“I believe everyone knows how important the final match of the President’s Cup is. Last season we were very close to win the title but unfortunately we lost the quarterfinal match,” Sergiy Rebrov opened the pre-match press conference dedicated for the final match of the President’s Cup against Al Sharjah held today at the conference room of Al Jazira Club.
The head coach of Al Ain added: “However, we got a great chance to achieve our target. We must focus on preparing well for the coming match and think about our team’s affairs only. We know well our competitor and played against them in more one than occasion this current season.”
Commenting on a question on missing Al Ain Team’s goalkeeper, Khaled Eisa, in the final match, he said: “We analyzed our last match against Bani Yas, and practically we should improve our defensive system. We also must enjoy high level of concentration and turn all chances we create into goals. I was strict when spoke to the players after the match against Bani Yas concerning the mistakes committed.”
“This month is so important for the team as we are competing to win three titles. In football game, either you learn from your mistakes or the mistakes of others. However, in Bani Yas match we did play bad except in the last minutes and I believe committing mistakes against Al Sharjah is prohibited,” Rebrov said.
Regarding the participation of Mohammed Bu Senda in this final match instead of Khaled Eisa, he said: “You may not know Mohammed Bu Senda well. He trained and work hard and everyone trust him and I am not worried about the Boss’ goal. I did not select him to play in Bani Yas match as I saw that Khaled Eisa will not play the President’s Cup final match and he should play that match. As for Bu Senda’s level of performance in Al Wasl match did not surprise me as, I stated earlier, I know his capabilities well.”
Rebrov pointed out that pressures are always available in all matches and tomorrow the stands will be full and already asked the players to enjoy the spirit of fighting and enthusiasm to make the fans happy.
As for the players expected not to play the final match, he said: “We will miss Khaled Al Blooshi for suspension and we would evaluate the conditions of Caio who already participated in the last two training sessions.”
