Zoran Mamic, the Croatia’s Head Coach of Al Ain FC, confirmed in the pre-match conference on his team’s match against Ajman FC that his team is on the verge of a new challenge in their thrilling journey to win the title in AGL. He stated: “Ajman is not an insignificant team; on the contrary, the team has brilliant players and above all they are exhibiting stunning performance against their competitors.” He declared: “Personally, I set sights on sustaining our leading position in the standing table and move ahead firmly through achieving great positive results, given that the match will be held at home and among our fans.”

“If we want to snatch the three points, we have to do our best on the pitch and show a better performance than ours in the past stages,” added he.

On the issue of lack of recovery and preparation time between Bahrain’s Malkiya match and Ajman’s, he stated: “We will not seek out excuses ahead of our match against Ajman in AGL. Indeed, it is normal thing in the world of football to have tight schedules.” He underscored: “Despite this situation, Al Ain squad has quality and appropriate players. My team’s lines are fully fledged and ready to go for the coming clash.”

Commenting on a question on whether he will adopt the policy of rotating players to counter pressures of matches in the coming stages, he said: “Tomorrow we will assess the status of Omar Abdul Rahman and Ahmad Barman following they were exposed to a moderate injury in the recent match to finalize the team’s starting lineup of Saturday’s match.”

“In the team’s match against Bahrain’s Malkiya, I was keen to give certain players a breathtaking time including Ismail Ahmed, Rayan Yaslam and Ahmad Khalil. Also, I gave Mohammed Abdul Rahman the chance to play in the last minutes just to give the right time to be ready for the important confrontation against Ajman.”

Zoran replied to a question on his assessment of a year passed since he is appointed to be the head coach of the “Boss” by saying: “It has been a great year with the “Boss”.” He pointed out: “Any observer of the team’s conditions will notice that in the initial period we were suffering from lots of problems, most importantly is the injured players and absences for long time which negatively overshadowed the team’s results.” He proudly stated: “Today, it is all changed and team is fully fledged and all set. I gave the opportunity to new faces to play with the first team, and involved some players form Al Ain Reserve Team who got a dear opportunity to be one of my options in the starting lineup.” He underscored: “Then, we are on the right track!”

He signed off: “I stated in my personal account in Instagram that it is the time to win trophies!! Indeed, it is nice to crown all the brilliant results by winning titles!”
