“It is so difficult to play matches without our fans. They give the players the incentive to fight hard and motivate them to win against opponents. Our joy is incomplete to celebrate victories,” Al Ain Head Coach, Sergiy Rebrov, stated in the post-match press conference of matchweek 20 of the ADNOC Pro League. The match ended with a 3-2 victory of Al Wasl in favor of Al Ain.

He added: “It is not easy to play an official match after a one-month break. Despite all challenges, we dominated the match during the first half and took the lead, but the opponent was able to level up minutes before going to the break. However, we could regain the lead by scoring two goals in the second half.”

Rebrov stressed that the team still has 6 rounds to go, and “this boosts the pressures on the players not to lose any coming matches.”

He concluded: “We must focus on what we are meant to do during the remaining six rounds of the league. Therefore, I believe there is no need for any lectures on how to handle the coming matches, which might increase the pressures on the team.”
