Mohammed Obaid Hammad, a member of the management committee of Al Ain FC, supervisor of the first and reserveteam, praised the commitment and discipline of Al Ain players in implementing the tactical style set by Dutch coach Alfred Schreuder to win the three points against Sharjah. “Al Ain’s celebrations for the victory ended yesterday, and this morning the team has already started its preparations for the encounter against Ahal Turkmen within the second round of the AFC Champions League, scheduled for next Tuesday at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.”Hammad affirmed
He continued, “The Al Ain fans has encouraged Al-Zaeemwith effective support, ideal encouragement, and sporting spirit. They deserve recognition for the important role they played from the ‘purple’ stands in boosting the players’ morale. We expect a massive attendance in the Asian championship match against Ahal.”
Replying a question about whether he expected to strengthen the lead at Sharjah Stadium, Hammad said, “Yes, Sharjah is a great team, and Al Ain respects all competitors. However, reality and history confirm that Al Ain’s lead in the league competition is natural; indeed, what is strange is when the team is not in the lead.”
Regarding the question about signs of championship potential in Al Ain, Hammad commented, “It is too early to talk about predicting the league champion, as the competition is still in its early stages, with only four rounds played. I also don’t believe that Sharjah’s loss will exclude them from the list of candidates for gaining the title.”
