H.E. Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Football Club Company, expressed his pleasure by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, recent directives on granting permission to the children of Emirati women and holders of Emirati passports as well as born in UAE to take part in official sports competitions held in the UAE. H.E. Al Hajeri commented that this treasurable decree will further promote the success scales of sports institutions and athletes in our beloved homeland.
“UAE has always been and will continue to be the ideal model to be emulated owing to the vision and keenness of the wise leadership of their Highnesses the Sheikhs who spares no efforts to furnish the foundations of supremacy, excellence and success for all who resides in this blessed land,” stressed he.
He added: “The decision will make all residents and those born in UAE happy and delighted. Also, the national clubs will have the chance to refine the talents of their skilled players in all sports.” He went on to say: “It is the time to take advantage of these skills and employ them in the appropriate way that guarantee their integration with the sports entity in the homeland of everyone which is privileged by such a wise leadership.”
On this occasion, Al Hajeri called on all sports federations in various games to immediately issue decisions and regulations that are consistent with activating their role in enforcing this historic decree, particularly the UAE Football Association. He urged the UAE Football Association to increase the number of foreign players participating in local competitions to 6 instead of 4 to give clubs the opportunity to directly benefit from the decision. In this regard, he stated: “I think that the decision will support the issue of salaries ceiling and bring things back to normal due to abundance of quality players enjoying high skills.”
“Undoubtedly, the desired outcomes of the Supreme Decree are great because it enhances the required level of development in all types of sports whether they are individual or collective sports. Additionally, it will contribute to the paradigm shift in choices of technical staff to be more focused on the quality more than quantity,” stated he.
Al Hajeri pointed out: “The decision will also intensify the opportunities for discovering talents and employing them in the right place. For example, but not limited to, when the club announces the opening of tests for joining the football academy, the number exceeds all expectations. In comparison, announcement to join other sports does not receive the required level of interaction. It is all about tendencies towards of the most popular game, i.e. football.”
H.E. Al Hajeri concluded his press statement by declaring: “In line with our wise leadership’s vision, Al Ain Club will open the tests to be for the Club’s games which will be supervised by the Club’s experts and specialists.
