Proud of AFC Certificate, Bin Thaaloub: National Day celebrations will go on

H.E Mohamed Bin Thaaloub Al Derei, Al Ain Club Investment Company Chairman took pride in the Appreciation Certificate awarded by the Asian Football Confederation to Al Ain Sports & Cultural Club for the closing ceremony of the 2016 AFC Champions League Finals which was more successful and better organized event in the AFC history. “The certificate is a medal for the Emirati sports and proves that our country has the ability to organize world-class events,” he commented.

Bin Thaaloub appreciated Al Ain FC fans for launching their hashtag # Loyal forever, across the social media to reinforce confidence in Al Ain FC players and coaching staffs led by Zlatko following their 1-1 draw win and losing the AFC finals to the South Korean Jeonbuk.

“Such initiatives are not unfamiliar to Al Ain fans who have been strategic partners in Al Ain’s local and continental achievements. In fact, the current generation of players deserved to win the Asian trophy. We strongly trust that they will be renowned internationally in line with the vision of our insightful leadership,” he said.

He also thanked UAE FA for their close cooperation with the local organizing committee to produce an unprecedented and widely appreciated closing ceremony of the AFC Champions League Finals in UAE. Moreover, he praised the efforts made by Al Ain Fans Association, Al Ain Police, the media and other concerned entities to create a convenient watching experience during the ceremonies.

He pointed out that Al Ain FC initiated the celebrations on the UAE 45th National Day Anniversary which is dear to every Emirati and expat with the starting whistle of the AFC championship finals on Stadium of the Year 2014. He confirmed that these celebrations will carry on in coordination with several government entities. Many initiatives will be soon announced by Al Ain Club’s Media Office on this happy occasion.
