Al Ain midfielder Rayan Yaslam believes his side has greatly benefited from their pre-season training camp in Croatia and Slovenia. Everybody has doubled their efforts during the pre-season and the coach has laid down the best plans to prepare the team mentally, tactically and physically,” the UAE international told AGLeague.ae

Discussing the upcoming Arabian Gulf Super Cup clash scheduled for August 25th in Cairo against rivals Al Wahda, Yaslam declared his side up for the challenge. “Al Ain’s matches against Al Wahda are always an anticipated fanfare, and with a title up for grabs, the match will have a special flavour.

“Both sides are eager to start their season with a title to give them a strong morale boost ahead of the new season. I wish my team the best of luck.”

Yaslam touched on the impact of losing Omar Abdulrahman, who completed a move to Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal over the summer, explaining, “Omar is a huge technical advantage for any team, he can make the difference on his own. We will surely miss him on and off the pitch, but Al Ain are capable of achieving our ambitions. We would like to thank Omar for everything he gave the club and for supporting all youngsters during his time here, and wish him all the best in his new adventure in Saudi Arabia.”
