In a press statement he made on the occasion of the coming UAE Super Cup Clasico scheduled to be held in Cairo next week, Al Ain international Sweden’s striker, Marcus Berg, stressed that his team is fully ready for all big challenges awaiting the team in the coming new season. “Al Ain had missed a number of international players during the last phase of the team’s away preseason training camp; however, all went well and the players pushed themselves to the limit to attain the desired goals out of this influential training period in preparation for the local, continental and international challenges,” stated he.

He added: “The Champ of the “Double Historic Titles” is required to show their best in the first debut in Cairo and to come back to the Ainawi Fort with the title of the Arabian Gulf Super Cup. We are planning to celebrate the moment with the loyal Ainawi Nation by putting our hands on our first title in this new season marking the 50th Anniversary of establishing this big Club.”

He pointed out that Al Ain is a strong team and their ambitions will never soar below the skies this new season with all due respect to the ambitions of Al Ain’s competitors. “We are so determined to achieve the best positive results that match our big goals and definitely make our fans happy,” said he.

On his assessment of the level of the coming match against Al Ain’s rival in the Super Cup, he said: “Al Wahda is a good team but Al Ain’s aspirations in the new season are boundless. As I have stated earlier, we do understand that we the match of 25th August is a new challenge and completely different from the one ended by the historic 6-2 win at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.”

“We all know what we are meant to do in the Super Cup match. It is difficult to expect the course of the match and its circumstances, but I can assure you that the team is fully ready for this Clasico and the same applies to the opponent team who is well prepared for this match and has their own valid aspirations to win the title this coming Saturday.”

Commenting on Amoory’s transfer to the Saudi Arabia’s League, he stated: “It is not easy to tackle the issue of Amoory’s transfer, but in short we will miss him. Meanwhile, Al Ain is a big team and does not rely only on one, two or three players. Al Ain squad enjoys the required potentials to achieve the great and stunning achievements.” He concluded his statement by wishing all the best to his teammates to achieve the set goals in the new football season.
