We Play for the Ainawi Fans and We Wish to See Substantial Crowds of Fans Behind the Team

“Next match against Kalba will be difficult, particularly we lost round 3 match to Al Jazira,” Sergiy Rebrov stated in the pre-match media conference of matchweek 4 of ADNOC Pro League against Ittihad Kalba.

He added: “Our problem in the last match was we did not show our strong character in the recent game. We lost the match not because we played against Al Jazira who deserved to win that match, indeed because we did not show our genuine potentials.”

“This is why we must play more seriously next match and be well prepared for it regardless the opponent we are playing against whether it is Al Jazira or Ittihad Kalba,” he said.

Rebrov stressed that he stated earlier that he is not thinking about titles as it is still the beginning of the league journey. “We have to focus on each match separately. Our next match is against Ittihad Kalba and we have to enjoy high level of seriousness and fight to win the match’s three points.”

As for the current position of the team’s in the standing table, he stated: “We have already played only three matches. We lost some points as we failed to show the points of strength. I do not know exactly what the players are thinking about at present, but they must focus on the coming match while avoiding thinking about the standing table or any other matters.”

Rebrov mentioned that he directed the players after their match against Al Jazira directly that they do not have to worry about the spots on standing table or any news on the league. He added that he said to them that they should only focus on themselves.

“Exerting more pressures on the players will have negative impact on the quality of playing. For me, it is all about to focus on the next match instead of team’s position on the standing table or the team they are playing against,” Rebrov added.

As for Al Ain Team’s international players level of readiness for the next match, he commented: “I believe it is always difficult for them to play league matches once they rejoin the team as they were playing in different conditions. We are aiming at providing them with the right conditions to play the team’s matches.”

He pointed out that there are no injured players, but some of them feel exhausted.

Rebrov went on to say that players have no issues to play matches but the actual problem they face is when they fly back to UAE. “The majority played their national teams’ matches in Europe and they feel tired because of the long flights when thy fly back to UAE. However, we have good time to prepare for the match and hope they rest well and ready for the next important match.”

Al Ain Team’s head coach concluded his statement by addressing a message to the Ainawi fans saying: “Hope to see the stadium standings full and it is so important for us. Players will be highly motivated when seeing crowds of fans behind the team. We play for them and sure we will do our best.”
