Zlatko Dalić, Al Ain’s Croatian Coach, described their match at the President’s Cup with Al Ahli after tomorrow as an ‘early final’ that will attract a nation-wide attention as usually whenever both teams encounter each other reiterating Al Ain’s strategy of winning all matches in the competition.
He regretted that they have no more than 48 hours to get prepared for their first challenge, but the team will be boosted as Ismail Ahmad and Mohannad Al Enezi have recovered and will be on the lineup.
“The game won’t be easy, but we are determined to carry our path of good results with all due respect to our rivals. I call on our hardcore fans to strongly cheer their team as usual in Abu Dhabi,” he said.
Asked to make a message to the referees, Zlatko refrained by saying: “It is not my job to address the referees or any other party. My task is clearly limited to having my team prepared to play the game.”
Commenting on missing his right and left wingers against Al Ahli, Zlatko confirmed his squad’s ability to address all situations; “I will carefully choose the best players who can fare well and achieve the desired results, so we can successfully cruise to the next phase,” he explained.
Zlatko expressed limitless faith in his men to make the desired difference, highlighting the great potentials and constructive effect of Ibrahim Diaky, whose performance has recently proved more than satisfying.
“Diaky had the final word against Al Shabab and Kalba. He is capable of making the difference as a substitute player in light of his proven experience, unique skills and fighting spirit,” he said.
“It’s my responsibility to choose the right players in accordance with the right solution I set for each game,” he added.
Asked to comment on Al Ahli coach’s thrill-seeking technique, Zlatko did not comment but said: “I highly regard Cosmin and I think he’s the best coach in GCC region.”
