Al Ain center back Kouame Autonne expressed his extreme pleasure with the decision of renewing his contract with Al Ain till 2028 emphasizing that: “I’d like to thank Al Ain senior management for renewing their confidence in me by extending my contract for more five years. I believe this was a complex decision and hope during this long period to be up to the expectations and trust given to me and participate with all players to achieve all Al Ain fans’ aspirations”.
Replying to a question regarding his feelings during signing the renewal contract, he said: “Frankly and for me, Al Ain is the greatest club in the UAE and if you ever asked any player in the UAE about his dream team, he would say “Al Ain” as I’ve played against them all and know exactly their feelings when they play against Al Ain. So, I confirm that Al Ain is the “dream team” not only for me, but for all the players”,

“I cannot describe my feelings during signing the new contract and for the invaluable confidence of the Club Management. I’m well-aware of the missions assigned to me and hope to make achievements required in this season and delight our fans. Regarding his best moments with Al Ain, he said: “Each moment I spent in Al Ain is a happy moment, so I cannot remember all these moments, but if I began with our match against Baniyas and after I scored the second goal, I touched the badge of the Club on my T-shirt and received so many marvelous messages from the fans who love the Club and liked what I did. When I score a goal, I feel thrilled and when I receive such messages, I cannot describe my feelings. Also, I feel happy with my team-mates as we are a family and feel happier today as I will continue with Al Ain for another five years”.
A great coach
“I also remember a happy moment when I shot twice on Baniyas, the coach was angry at the first shot because he wanted me to pass but I decided to shoot as I hoped to make Al Ain fans happy before the end of the first half, but I wasted the first shot, but the second shot was good, I scored a goal, the coach was happy, so I went to him and said jokingly “sorry for scoring a goal”, and we laughed a lot at this exceptional moment and I think he is a great coach and together we will succeed.”

Autobiography
He started his football career in Asec Mimosas, one of the biggest academies in Africa. His talent developed till he played with the under-16 team and then he played with the under-18 team for his great capabilities and good physique. After 19, he received an offer to play for Khorfakkan and he joined the team in 2019 when Khorfakkan has just ascended to the professional league, but his agent Abdel Nasser Koli Sama convinced him to join the new club which has a project.
He played in Khorfakkan for two seasons during which he demonstrated exceptional capabilities and received many offers from ADNOC Pro League clubs, but he preferred to move to Al Ain as he felt perfect happiness as soon as he received Al Ain offer in July 2021.
